Established in 2008, GSODEC is a non profit organization founded by Laoshi Markle for the purposes of creating programs, partnerships and consultation services
for spreading Chinese martial art culture and Buddhist and Daoist philosophy. Vice President and co-founder of the organization is Scott Larson. Senior Consultant and original member is Ryan Markle.

GSODEC PROUDLY COLLABORATED WITH CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE AT UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO IN VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND EVENTS from 2011 until the closing of Confucius Institute in 2021.
Additionally, GSODEC has built relationships with local Senior centers, both public and private schools, colleges and non profit organizations, holding events, training sessions, and demonstrations year round.
Organizations such as Wegmans, Erie County Restorative Justice Coalition, Buffalo Medical Campus, Key Bank, Best Self, D' you ville College and more.
