At Gold Summit, your Tai Chi and Qigong experience will be unlike any other you have had. Class curriculum adheres to the traditional and authentic Chinese way of training. Instead of focusing on learning a large quantity of movements in the beginning, your fundamental strength, posture, balance and energy cultivation will be developed. Without these fundamentals, much of  true Tai Chi or Qigong development can be missed!

TRAINING AT GOLD SUMMIT 

At Gold Summit, you will learn the proper foundation and basics and immediately achieve better health and concentration. However, for those who desire to learn the essence and martial aspects of the style, they can continue on, using the proper foundation in order to do so.  Using Laoshi Markle's curriculum and years of experience, learning Tai Chi at Gold Summit will give you long lasting results and fantastic benefits. After careful fundamental training, a student can progress to learn: Yang style 10, Yang 16, Yang 24 form, Yang style 32 and 42 form, Yang 32 Sword, and Tai Chi fan​

WHAT IS TAI CHI

Tai Chi or Taiji Quan, as it is properly spelled and pronounced in Chinese, is a Martial Art that has been practiced in China for 100's of years. In the past century, Tai Chi has spread all over the world as a health benefiting art and is frequently taught without the Martial side. Unfortunately because of its popularity, nowadays it is often taught lacking it's essence and has deteriorated to be more like a dance routine. When Tai Chi is taught without these important aspects, only minimum results can be obtained. 

  WHAT IS QIGONG? 

Qigong is an ancient Chinese self healing art. Through the use of various exercises, breathing methods, and physical postures a person can develop and strengthen their internal energy or "Qi"  The practice of qigong requires a knowledgeable and disciplined teacher. It is easy to go wrong when practicing without guidance, or when practicing under the guidance of a teacher without true experience and development. 

Laoshi Markle herself has practiced for over 15 years and overcame asthma, back injuries and other difficulties learning under her Masters and through her own daily practice. She has trained Gold Summit's assistant instructors to carefully guide beginners through the process of learning Qigong properly and safely. Learning the Qigong styles of Ba Duan Jin, Various Zhan Zhuang training, and other Dong Qigong styles, a student will actually develop a true sense of their energy, gaining genuine results.
